I took the boys to Farmer Gow's Activity Centre on the way back from visiting my parents. I wouldn't recommend the food but the boys had great fun. It took some effort to get Toby past the wooden railway in the indoor play area, but they both loved the bale climb, a huge stack of bales to climb all over with wooden tunnels underneath. Toby was too scared to go very far into the tunnels but managed to join in with Robin's stories nonetheless.
Both boys were wary of the animals. We started by feeding a lamb milk, then handfuls of feed to the bigger sheep, more milk but for a goat then goat feed. Robin was getting braver, managing to stroke some of the animals, and surprised me by agreeing to take a goat for a walk. This was the highlight of the day for him and he insisted today's pic of the day should be a goat walking one.
A quick play in the sandpit then we went for a trailer ride behind a tractor. En route we stopped to throw some feed over a fence to some pigs.
Afterwards they had another go on the bale climb and another quick play in the indoor play area. On the way out, Robin voluntarily stroked a chick but Toby was still not convinced.
